Extremely speculative, thought-provoking, entertaining
By TLR
Lawrence was a pen name used by the author, who had written (under his own name) for newspapers, magazines and broadcast media for 25 years (as of 1967), was a network news TV commentator, "has a vast number of important information sources in Washington and New York...At the time of the assassination...was working on a project (for a highly respected American organization) which called for the active participation of President John F. Kennedy. Towards this end, he was working in liaison with the Department of Defense."

He investigated the assassination quietly and behind the scenes before writing his book. He talks about various mind-control techniques (Radio-Hypnotic Intracerebral Control and Electronic Dissolution of Memory) that might have been used to manipulate Oswald and Ruby. He believes they may have been programmed to block out the names of co-conspirators; he cites Ruby's Warren Commission testimony: "Very rarely do I use the name Oswald. I don't know why. I don't know how to explain it..." Lawrence gives examples of people being hypnotized into committing crimes against their will. He notes (based on his intelligence sources) that people in the intelligence community often liked to speculate about Oswald's background; they found his access to travel money suspicious. "The Rumor crystallizes a picture of Lee Oswald as a 'high-jacketed sleeper.' In intelligence jargon that simply means that he was selected by one group and maneuvered into the orbit of another group which trained and prepared him for work in the future..."

He claims that the plotters planned four years in advance to kill whoever happened to win the 1960 election. Oswald's "historic diary" and letters home were prepared for the benefit of the Soviets, who probably examined his belongings when he was out of his hotel room. Lawrence believes that in Minsk the Soviets programmed him as a "sleeper" agent. He cites an article in Esquire magazine, "A Primer of Assassination Theories": "Since Oswald spent considerable time in a Soviet hospital, a few Commission lawyers entertained the theory that Oswald might have been brainwashed and conditioned to be a 'sleeper' assassin; then he went haywire (i.e. he was accidentally turned on).

Lawrence believes that Oswald was directed toward Russia by the real conspirators, with the idea of having Russian intelligence put their fingerprints on him. Ruby was programmed by the conspirators to kill Oswald, but while under hypnosis picked up pieces of the conspirators' conversations and retained some knowledge of the plot. He believes the mind-control on Ruby was faulty and damaged his brain somewhat. Lawrence gained access to some authenticated private correspondence of Ruby's, which read: "...Remember everything and destroy same...to start my story off, they found some very clever means and ways to trick me...I was used to silence Oswald. I walked into a trap the moment I walked down that ramp Sunday morning...knowing of my complete innocence and their framing me as they have, there certainly was a tremendous motive for it...The old war lords are going to come back. S.A. [South America] is full of these Nazis!...They will know that is only one kind of people that would do such a thing...that would have to be the Nazis and that is who is in power....they are after my blood. See if my prediction will be correct...Why would I have accepted a phone call at 10:50am at my apartment from a girl? A man that had planned something that Sunday morning don't accept phone calls...try and remember all this."

"The Rumor" has it that the conspirators planned to manipulate the stock market by creating a financial bubble, and then "sell short" just before the assassination brought a stock market plunge. Lawrence also believes that Oswald's mind was able to change the thinking of people around him so that they remembered seeing him in places where he couldn't have been. He feels that Oswald was programmed to shoot at Gen. Walker as a "test"; he was also tested by being told to be ready to assassinate the vice-president. Oswald was shooting from the TSBD, but a real marksman - unknown to Oswald - fired the fatal shot from the knoll.

The Link Between Mind Control Experiments for the Purpose of Assassination.
By Mikhayla
"Lincoln Lawrence" has provided extensive research into successful studies in mind control between 1937 and 1967, when his book was written. His research is written with emphasis on "the Rumor" that these techniques were used on Lee Harvey Oswald and Jack Ruby to make them pawns in the assassination of President Kennedy. Not only does his presentation make more sense than any senario presented regarding the Kennedy assassination, but what is fascinating is the successful research Lawrence presents is all before MKULTRA, the CIA's unethical experiments on mind control, was ever exposed. The CIA was using unwitting American citizens in hopes of creating "Manchurian Candidates" just as depicted by Lawrence, but this was all hidden even from the Executive Branch and Congress, until 1977, long after Lincoln Lawrence published "Were We Controlled?"

Reality
By Me
I believe that this has more truth than we would like to believe! If you study the history of mind control, including a disclosed CIA mind control project,if you have studied the financial industry and the stock market practices,if you study the fraud scheme called the presidential election and how it is orchestrated and manipulated, this book, no longer seems so far fetched. It is time America looks at this book as reality and the fact that history continues to repeat itself and is repeating itself again!
